Small tricks of great masters
PVC and ALU carpentry have their advantages, which we have already revealed to you, but the question that is equally important to many is - how easy is it to maintain and clean the selected carpentry? Both types of carpentry really don't require too much involvement in maintenance, and we bring you small tips on how to make your carpentry even brighter and, most importantly, longer lasting.
Mild cleaning agents
PVC carpentry is characterized by a particularly long-lasting surface that is really easy to clean and maintain. PVC profiles are best cleaned with a soft cloth and water, with the addition of some mild cleaning agent, such as dishwashing detergent. Avoid aggressive cleaning agents. Maintenance of seals and fittings is extremely important. For a longer life of the seals, it is enough to coat them twice a year with lubricant to maintain the seals so that they are soft and in functional condition, and for easier handling, lubricate all the necessary parts of the fittings once every six months. This will ensure that your carpentry works as well as it did on the first day.
Take care of the products that you use to wash the glasses, because some of them can have an aggressive effect on the profiles and cause the appearance of a yellow color.
Aluminum windows and doors are resistant to atmospheric influences. However, do not use aggressive cleaning agents or rough cloths. It is enough to wipe them from time to time with a wet cloth and mild detergent. Be regular when cleaning dust and remove other types of deposits from the profile, fittings and seals on the edges of the profile. When cleaning the seals, it is sufficient to use plain water and coating, and in order for your ALU joinery to be long-lasting and functional, it is ideal to coat all moving parts of the fittings with a lubricant once a year.

Regular ventilation of the premises
Pay special attention to the ventilation of the premises, especially in winter. Namely, modern PVC joinery does not allow air to pass through, and the situation is similar with ALU joinery. Misting of window panes, the appearance of fungi, damage that is visible inside the premises and the general deterioration of the quality of life are the biggest problems that can arise. Ventilating the space does not require much effort or time and is the most effective solution in maintaining a healthy and high-quality living space. It is recommended to ventilate the space several times a day in order to circulate the air, i.e. to replace the indoor air with the outdoor air. Five minutes of daily ventilation will be enough for you in the rooms where you stay and sleep, while in the kitchen and bathroom, where water evaporation is higher, ventilate more often.

With a little effort, you can very easily maintain the carpentry yourself and thus preserve its functionality and good appearance. However, if the carpentry is damaged or defective, always contact our experts who will be at your disposal in the shortest possible time for repairs or assistance.
